The area of the Hoodoo 3 sample is underlain by sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group.

A sample of quartz vein with 15-20 per cent pyrite and chalcopyrite was taken in 1991. It assayed 4.76 per cent copper, 23.7 grams per tonne silver and 0.16 gram per tonne gold (Sample 461732, Assessment Report 21878). The size of the quartz vein and type of rock hosting the vein was was not indicated.

The Hoodoo 1-5 claims were staked in 1982 for Kerr Addison Mines Ltd. Three days were spent prospecting and sampling on the property just after staking. In addition to limited geological, mapping, 22 stream sediment and soil samples and 30 rock chip samples were collected and analyzed for Au, Ag, Sb, As and Hg.

The Hoodoo 1-5 claims were restaked in 1983 for Kerr Addison Mines Ltd. Eight days were spent on the property by a two man crew after staking. Work was primarily prospecting and sampling with minor geological mapping and hand trenching. Seventeen soils and twenty-seven rock samples were collected and analyzed for Au, Ag, As and Sb. Some of the samples were also run for Ba, Hg, Cu, Zn and Pb. Geology was recorded at sample sites and plotted on 1:lO.OOO scale map.

In 1990, Kerr Addison conducted a program to re-establish grid lines, originally established in 1982-1983, spot collars for diamond drilling and take rock samples, which amounted to 55.

In 1991, Kerr Addison Mines Ltd once again restaked the area original Hoodoo 1-5. Argillite units exposed on the Hoodoo claims were systematically panel and chip sampled to assess their potential for hosting a volcanogenic massive sulphide zone. Seven days were spent on the claims resulting in the collection of 57 samples of argillite and five other mineralized samples. It was reported that the few slightly anomalous samples occurred in the vicinity of shear related mineralization and the potential for discovering a volcanogenic massive sulphide zone was low.
